The BIG move!

Steve accepted a job in SLC as a mechanical engineer for Van Boerum and Frank Associates!
I was very happy for our family, but sad that I would have to quit EIRMC.
The company wanted Steve to leave ASAP. We had 3 weeks to pack up our stuff and move to SLC. I managed to give 2 weeks notice for my job and I was SO crushed when I had to deliver the news to my boss. I had gotten a position in the Pediatrics unit and was going to cross train in the NICU, ICU, and the new PICU that they were in the process of building. I really enjoyed my time there and established such great relationships with my coworkers. I was torn, but I knew it was the right thing to do for our family at this time.

My manager Christine and my coworker Denise.

Jeanne- who I will miss dearly.

My coworkers understood, and were sad to hear that I was leaving. I said my goodbyes and worked my last day.  :(

We didn't really start packing vigorously until I finished my last day of work. We had just a few days. We packed and stuff was loaded into the truck.
We said our goodbyes to my Sis in law Kelly and her family  :(
Then, we drove off...........

We rented a nice 3 bedroom town home in Sandy, UT.  We left our 2 bedroom townhome in Idaho Falls, and upgraded in space, but not in price. We are paying almost double what we paid in IF in rent! Living in Utah is pretty pricey. This was the cheapest 3 bedroom we could find in a nice location. We had an opportunity to buy a condo/house, but we feel like we are not ready for that big of a commitment just yet.

So far the kids love it here and they especially love the fact that I am now officially a stay-at-home mom!
I am enjoying life right now! So far Sandy looks wonderful and can't wait to get to know the area better!
